Booking settings

Rules & settings in the sidebar opens the Booking rules tab. These rules belong to the organization, not to your account: they apply to the whole team, to every villa and to every way of booking — the team, the public pages and the API.

Only owners and admins can change them. A member sees the same values in a read-only list.

First visit

Until the rules are saved once, the tab shows Default values, not saved yet: the product already runs on a 24-hour hold delay and a 30-minute buffer. Pick a Currency, then Save the rules to confirm them. Without a currency, no booking can be created.

Every option

Airbnb

What happens when a booking overlaps the Airbnb calendar of a villa: Warn lets it through with a warning, Block refuses it, Ignore (unavailable dates only) does nothing. The whole mechanism is explained in Airbnb.

Booking currency

One currency for the whole organization. Every rate, booking amount and payment is expressed in it — there is no currency per villa nor per booking.

Organization time zone

Every opening hour, booking time and report boundary is read in this timezone, never in your browser's. Until you pick one, hours are read as UTC — visibly wrong rather than plausibly wrong.

How a hold affects the slot

Two exclusive options:

• A hold blocks the slot immediately — as soon as a hold is placed, nobody else can book that slot, even before the customer confirms.
• Only confirmed bookings block the slot — the slot stays bookable by someone else as long as no booking is confirmed on it.

How long a hold lives is not set here: it is the first rule of Automations, reached with the Automations button at the top of the page.

Public booking horizon

The last date visitors can browse and book on your public pages, separately for Photoshoots and Overnight stays. One month means exactly 30 days. It does not limit your team.

Buffer after every booking

Time added at the end of every hourly booking to reset the villa. A booking takes its slot and its buffer: with a 30-minute buffer, a shoot ending at 12:00 keeps the villa until 12:30.

Check-out / check-in window

Stops a short shoot booked online from forcing you to block two nights on Airbnb. When the option is on, a shoot that starts before the villa’s check-in time and ends after its check-out time is only offered on the public pages if it lasts at least the chosen minimum duration (1 h to 8 h, 4 h by default). Check-in and check-out times are each villa’s own, read in the organization’s time zone.

With check-out at 12:00, check-in at 14:00 and a 4 h minimum: 13:00–15:00 and 11:00–13:00 are not offered online; 10:00–14:00, 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00 are.

If an Airbnb reservation or an overnight stay of the villa departs or arrives that day, no cleaning slot is left: a shoot that overlaps the window is then never offered online, whatever its duration (12:00–16:00 and 10:00–14:00 are refused, 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00 are still offered).

• On the public page and the widget, a refused slot does not appear, and a forged request is refused.
• Your team, the API and MCP can still create or move that shoot: the booking is saved with a warning.
• The rule does not apply to overnight stays or to bookings already saved, and adds to the other rules (opening hours, buffer, Airbnb) without changing any of them.

Minimum stay

The shortest stay accepted when a manager creates an overnight stay. The departure day is not a night: from the 3rd to the 5th is 2 nights.

Saving

Save the rules applies them to bookings created from now on. Cancel changes puts back the saved values.

If the save fails, Nothing was saved: your values stay on screen and the organization's rules are unchanged. Retry, or cancel your changes.
